| DON’T BE LATE, UPDATE! AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT With each update of the Control4 Operating System, we strive to create a better experience for our customers and improve the overall quality and security of our software. Customers who do not upgrade their software miss out on enhancements and improvements, including security updates. We are aware of a security vulnerability in Control4 OS versions 2.7.1 and older. Dealers can resolve the vulnerability today by updating customers to a newer version–we recommend OS 2.9.1 or newer. On October 12, 2020, we will make a change to Control4 servers to resolve this vulnerability. Once applied, cloud connectivity will be disabled for systems running OS 2.7.1 or older. This means that as of October 12, neither dealers or their customers will be able to remotely access systems running OS 2.7.1 or older. READ THE KNOWLEDGEBASE ARTICLE |
