Illuminating Common Luma® Questions

If your client has a Luma x10 or x20 surveillance system, you have likely asked a common question: “How Do I… ?” We know that finding information quickly is important, so we created the How Do I… ? page in the Luma x20 documentation.
Reference this page for x10/x20 questions, software/firmware questions, PTZ questions, and more. If you don’t find your answer here, search the Tech Community.

Searching For Weiser® or Kwikset® Drivers?

Because Kwikset goes by Weiser in some countries, the drivers have been updated to include both names so you can search for either brand in Composer Pro. While this recent update improves search functionality and adds clarity, driver functionality is not impacted by this change.
Note: When searching for Weiser or Kwikset drivers, set the Manufacturer filter to All.
What do you serve with cheese on Canada Day? Fire-crackers.

Update Your Firmware: Legacy Firmware Vulnerability on Araknis® x10 Routers

After a thorough investigation, Snap One identified a broad, external brute force attack targeting Araknis x10 routers running outdated firmware (prior to November 10, 2021) as well as devices with open WAN-side ports. This included some AN-110-RT-2L1W, AN-110W-RT-2L1W-WIFI, and AN-310-RT-4L2W routers that were manually configured by installers to open these ports. The specific vulnerabilities used in these attacks had already been discovered and closed in Araknis firmware released on November 10, 2021.

If you believe your device has been compromised:
  1. Use OvrC® to update all devices to the latest firmware available, but specifically Araknis AN-110-RT-2L1W, AN-110W-RT-2L1W-WIFI, and AN-310-RT-4L2W routers.
  2. Follow the update with a factory default. This ensures the router operates from a factory fresh state, which resets any of the manual settings mentioned above

Snap One and Resideo

You may have heard that Snap One was purchased by Resideo on June 14, 2024. The purchase was driven by Resideo’s respect for our products, education, support, and Partner relationships.

So, what does this mean for you?

Well, right now, nothing. Everything is moving forward as we’ve always done it. However, you can expect to see more in the future: more brands you can shop, more places to pick up gear, more Tech Community improvements, and more education to fill your brain.
